Thank you for considering a financial gift to Upper Room!
As we continue to journey in this season of transition we are keenly aware that there is still a not-yet-ness to where we currently find ourselves as a church community. We are excited to be almost “to the other side” of this transition season as we prepare to hire two new, significant leadership roles. Right now due to our limited staff capacity we are not quite able to step into some of the things we have been dreaming about. Yet - we know, we are confident that “good things grow here” - we have seen it in the past and we know there is more to come!
As the staff and Board were thinking about this next budgeting season we started to rally around this idea we are calling 10 in 20. Our hope for 10% growth in our 2020 fiscal year. We hope that happens in two ways:
- We would love to increase our committed giving base by 10%. Practically what this means is adding 15 individuals/families to our already 150 committed giving individuals/families.
We are asking our current committed givers to prayerfully consider at 10% increase in giving as we step into this next FY.
Through sharing your time, gifts, and resources, we are planting seeds. The truth is that there is SO MUCH more to come, here at Upper Room, and in the world because of Upper Room. Good things grow here!
We are asking everyone, even current committed givers, to fill out a card this year, whether you are adjusting your commitment or not. We see this as a significant moment to affirm together that “good things grow here. To help us accurately plan for our next budget year, please submit this form or turn in cards (shared at UR) as soon as possible!
If you have any questions about giving to Upper Room, email Jim Lee, UR Director of Operations, or call 612-353-5641.
Ways to Give...
So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith. Galatians 6:9-10 (MSG)
