As we look to conclude our 21 years of ministry together, we want to end our ministry in the best ways possible. We know that this will require adequate funding - from celebrating together, staff severance, ensuring all our bills are paid and everything in between. Our current bank balance and projected income for the remainder of the fiscal year will not support the total costs of ending well. We want to handle this with the utmost integrity and ensure we fulfill all of our commitments - this is part of what it means to end well.
As a result, we are asking the Upper Room community to give a special financial gift to help us end well.
Please consider giving your planned June & July finaical gifts (or the equivalent) on or before May 15th. In addition, please continue your normal recurring giving through the month of May?
In short, we are asking Upper Roomers to give 2 months of giving in addition to your normally scheduled May gift.
Giving 2 additional months of financial gifts will allow us to end in the best ways possible. If you would like to give beyond two additional months, those additional funds will go directly to blessing our staff team above and beyond the current planned severance. If you are not able to give June and July’s gift in advance, know we are so grateful for your generosity, no matter the amount.
Here are the steps to give a special gift:
-
Go to Upper Room’s Giving Page
-
Under “Give,” type the 2-month’s equivalent amount (or another amount you would like to give).
-
Under “Frequency,” Select “One Time”
-
Select your payment method or log into your account to show past payment methods.
-
Select Give Now
Please note: If you currently have a recurring gift, it will be automatically canceled at the end of May.
Thank you for your generosity!
If you have any questions about giving to Upper Room, email Jim Lee, UR Operations Pastor.
So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith. Galatians 6:9-10 (MSG)
