MISSIONAL GRANTS

Upper Room Missional Grants

One of Upper Room’s core values is Outward Movement. As followers of Jesus, we are called to humbly and compassionately reflect the love of Jesus to the world around us. Moving missionally into our world can take many forms – helping to care for the physical needs of people, advocating on behalf of others, showing people that God loves them and cares for them with our actions and our words, and building friendships with people with different backgrounds, beliefs and life experiences. A central focus in being on mission with Jesus is recognizing that all of humanity has been created in the image of God. Because of that reality, oneness and friendship lies at the foundation of our movement into the world.

We recognize that God calls each of us to love and serve and be with others in different ways. We are given unique passions, gifts, and callings so that God’s Kingdom is fully represented here on earth. Upper Room wants to support individuals or groups that have a vision and desire to engage missionally with their world. The Upper Room Missional Grant is one way in which we will do this.

Recipients of an Upper Room Missional Grant will receive financial resources (between $100 and $1000, depending on fund availability and need) as well as support and mentorship from Upper Room community members. We also want to provide spaces for you to tell your stories – through our website or during Sunday gatherings. Our desire is to come alongside fellow Upper Roomers and help them pursue the ways that God is calling them to be on mission with Jesus in the world.
