VOLUNTEER OUTSIDE UR
OUTWARD MOVEMENT
One of Upper Room’s core values is Outward Movement. We desire to be a community made up of people who engage with the world, with humility and compassion, to reflect the love, mercy and justice of Jesus. Here are several opportunities to consider. Honduras Mission Trip
We currently have a group of 3 Upper Roomers going with the Jarabek family of 4 to help at Loma de Luz clinic in Honduras. You would be doing a project involving some physical labor - possibly painting or landscaping work involving laying some pavers for a sidewalk or something else yet to be determined. You would also be joining them in contributing to the ongoing work of Loma de Luz to help the surrounding communities through meeting medical needs, fostering and educating local children and continuing investments in farming and local businesses. If you are interested in going on this mission trip helping those in need in Honduras, please email Raquel Jarabek. The Jarabeks would love if 1 or 2 more people from Upper Room could join them and could take up to 5 more people with them. If you feel like you are being pulled to serve the poor or see people living with much less than we do in the US, please act on this feeling and contact Raquel.
